SYNT

In a preparatory phase they carry out a small research project, whose results are presented and defended at the actual tournament.

Participation

Each student who lives in Switzerland and does not turn 17 during the year of the tournament can participate at the SYPT. It is easiest if the student participates at the SYNT Workshop or a teacher of the corresponding school takes care of the coaching. In the case of questions, we gladly help: Contact us.

Interested, but too old?

Are you interested in the SYNT but you're already 17 or turning 17 during the year of the tournament?

We might have something for you if you want to compete in a science tournament similar to the SYNT:
the Swiss Young Physicists' Tournament (SYPT).

Check out the SYPT homepage and learn more about the tournament.

Due to the uncertainty regarding COVID-19 and its impact on the preparations, the SYPT 2021 has been postponed to the 29th of May and will be held virtually. More information will folllow shortly.

Register now!

Unfortunately, the SYNT Workshop cannot be held in person, however, we might offer online coaching to all interested students.

The new registration deadline is on the 31st of March.

As usual, students can either sign up as an individual or already in a team of two. When signing up as a team please note that each team must have a solution to two different SYNT problems and choose to participate in the same language. Additionally, individual students are strongly advised to be open to participate in both languages, otherwise it will be unlikely that their registration will be successful.
