The SYNT 2020 will take place at MNG Rämibühl on the 7th of March 2020.

To aid students in their preparation we are organizing a preparatory Workshop. During this Science Workshop students work on their chosen problem while being supervised by SYNT-experienced coaches.

The SYNT Science Workshop will take place at Science Lab UZH from the 10th to the 12th of February. The problems 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 13, 15, 16 and 17 will be coached at the Workshop.

Online registration will open on the 14th of October. Students can either sign up as an individual or already in a team of two. When signing up as a team please note that each team must have a solution to two different SYNT problems and choose to participate in the same language. Additionally, individual students are strongly advised to be open to participate in both languages, otherwise it will be unlikely that their registration will be successful.

Registration for the SYNT will open on our website until the 8th of December.

The SYNT 2020 will bring some changes with it. We hope that you are looking forward to the SYNT 2020.

The tournament will take place in two languages. Students can participate in English or in German. Of course, members of a team have to participate in the same language.

Every team will participate in the final round. In the final round, teams are allocated to fights according to the team ranking after the second round. Teams in each language group are arranged such that those similar in ranking are in the same fight.

For the first time there will be a team qualification for the Swiss IYNT team. At least twelve participants (the SYNT champions in each language category and further students selected according to the individual ranking) to the IYNT team qualification.

The next SYNT tournament will be held in a bilingual format (English/German). This is intended to make the entry easier for our young participants.

Additionally, there will be a team qualification for the first this year. While the team qualification will be in English, the best students from the German and English part will be invited to the team qualification.

Further information and the registration will follow in October.
